What is a Vape?

A Vape (also called e-cigarette) is an electronic device that is designed to heat a liquid and turn it into a vapor that the consumer inhales. Therefore, consuming electronic cigarettes is called ‘vaping’.
The electronic cigarette (vape or vapes) is intended as an alternative to reduce the harms of traditional tobacco cigarettes, providing consumers with a pleasant sensation of smoking, but without carbon monoxide, tar, ammonia or all the other harmful and carcinogenic products of burning tobacco and paper.

Parts of a vape / e-cigarette

Technologically, the Vape / e-cigarette consists of a rechargeable battery and a heating unit, called an atomizer. The latter has various components, such as a coil that is installed inside the liquid container or tank; inside the coil there is cotton that moisturizes it.

How do vapes / e-cigarettes work?

It’s important to know how a Vape / Electronic cigarette works to realize how easy it is to handle.

1. Cotton inside the coil carries the liquid from the tank to the resistor by capillary action.
2. The battery supplies the resistor with power.
3. This resistor heats up and vaporizes e-juice that sucks cotton.
4. The vapor produced goes into the mouthpiece of the device, which the consumer will inhale, providing sensations similar to smoking, and optionally can provide nicotine at varying levels.

Importantly, a Vape / Electronic cigarette does not burn, but only vaporizes, compared to regular cigarettes, burning tobacco and releasing more than 4,000 harmful chemicals.
Although most e-cigarettes were originally designed to resemble traditional tobacco cigarettes, the current trend is towards more convenient vapers with larger and more autonomous batteries, as well as larger atomizers with more features and that can hold larger amounts of e-liquid, so there’s an e-cigarette for everyone!

Which Vape / electronic cigarette should I start with?

E cig replaces the need to smoke tobacco cigarettes and helps you reduce your nicotine intake. Many users are passionate about mixing their own e-juice with different flavor combinations, making their own coils (vaporizers) and much more. So we invite you to step fearlessly into the vaping world.

Depending on how you want to start vaping and the time you want to spend on it, we recommend you different strategies:

Beginner

They are kits that do not require a lot of knowledge about the use of the electronic cigarette and that do not contain many loose parts or complicated spare parts.

The disposable electronic cigarette is good for their small size and because the puffs remind us a lot of the feeling of smoking, but nowadays there is less demand for this type of e-cig.

Advanced

Many vapers often start vaping with e-cigarettes, mainly because they are cheap, discreet and easy to carry and use. The downside is that they usually don’t have much power – so the amount of vapor they generate is quite small – and their battery usually doesn’t have great autonomy.

There are also people who prefer to start with a more advanced mod, but it can be a bit overwhelming the amount of resistance, buttons and vaping modes available if you’re looking for a vaping as simple as possible.

In a way, pods give you the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the benefits of a pointing device and the vapor you can get with a more powerful mod. As the name suggests, they use a cartridge (pod) instead of another type of tank or atomizer.

Expert

Advanced users’ electronic cigarettes have more features and are actually the types of electronic cigarettes we call MODs with the removable 18650 batteries. Advanced kits can be an option even for an inexperienced vaper, but they do require some knowledge, so we recommend getting well informed about these e-sig or MODs.
